Vedansh — Privacy Policy

Vedansh is built to respect your privacy completely. The app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account to create, and all content works fully offline on your device.

Information we collect

None. Vedansh has no sign-up or login, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. We do not use third-party SDKs that send your data anywhere. No information about you or your usage leaves your device.

Location

Location access is optional and, if granted, is used only While Using the App to calculate accurate sunrise, sunset, and Panchang timings for your city. Your coordinates are processed on your device only and are never transmitted or stored off-device. If you decline location, a manual city picker (default: Ujjain) provides the same functionality.

Notifications

Daily reminders and Japam alarms are scheduled locally on your device. Vedansh does not use remote/push notification servers, so no device token or notification data is sent to us or any third party.

Audio & microphone

The app can play mantras and bhajans, including in the background. It does not use the microphone and does not record any audio.

Data stored on your device

Your preferences, bookmarks, reading progress, routines, and japam counts are saved only in local storage on your device so the app remembers your place. This data never leaves your device and is removed if you delete the app.

Children’s privacy

Because Vedansh collects no personal data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Third parties

We do not share, sell, or disclose personal data — because we do not collect any. No third party receives your information through this app.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
